Did you know mango waste can be turned into a leather-like material? For this project, I explored this innovative process by cooking mango waste, reinforcing it with fibers for added strength, and baking it to create a durable, sustainable material. Using this material, I sewed a functional wallet, showcasing the potential of waste as a resource. Alongside this hands-on work, I also refined my skills in SolidWorks by modeling designs, a tool I enjoy using to develop my technical abilities. This project combined sustainability with creativity, resulting in a unique, eco-friendly product.
